My response:
Once I bought a little home,
It didn’t suit me well.
I felt I’d sold my freedom to roam.
My cottage I did sell.
I need to find a house for shell,
Blue shutters upon my back.
Poppies in my window well,
Then nothing shall I lack.
Outside small,
Fat black cat,
Inside mondo,
Shoes on mat.
Until I find a home like that,
I’m good just renting a condo.
Way to find a rhyme for condo!
ReplyDeleteI admit, that was probably the hardest thing I did all day ;)
DeleteI love the feeling of wandering, of having tried something permanent and feeling tied down, of being content renting a condo until the perfect thing appears. Great job in so few lines!
ReplyDeleteIt was a fun prompt. I didn't think I'd have time to do it, but I couldn't get it out of my head all day.
DeleteI love this. It made me smile. :)
